Shrink wrapping is a technique where a product is covered with clear plastic which shrinks when heated to fit tightly around the shape of the product. At Triton Packaging we offer several Shrink Wrapping Systems that seal, cut & shrink films for optimal package presentation. Shrink wrap is applied over an item, often by automated equipment. Heat tunnels or ovens, Heat guns, L-Sealers, and Shrink Chambers are used for large items. There are also Manual shrink wrap machines that characterize for being portable, light weight, built to last, and a cost-efficient option for low to moderate production lines. Shrink wrap film is commonly used as an over wrap for many items, including boxes, beverage cans and bottles, as well as pallet loads. Shrink wrapping is often used to stabilize and unitize products, keep them clean, increase its tamper resistance, to mention some. |

Both companies and hobbyist wrap their products in shrink wrap, protecting them as they are displayed. The most commonly used shrink wrap film is polyolefin. It can be found in a variety of thicknesses, clarities, strengths and shrink ratios. Other shrink films include PVC and several other compositions. |
